NFL DFS Tournament (GPP) Plays For Week 4: Jacoby Brissett, Nico Collins & More
Jason Cohen breaks down his favorite low-owned NFL DFS plays to target in Week 4 tournaments.
We're in Week 4 of the NFL season. We have 12 games to break down for this Sunday's NFL DFS main slate. We are settling into the season and seeing what these teams and players are truly about! It's been a fun start to the season, and we look to continue that into Week 4.
I'm going to break down the NFL DFS tournament (GPP) plays that I like on this slate. This could be a QB and receiver stack that I like, a sneaky RB in a good spot, or a standalone WR/TE. The goal here is to find players who will be under 10% owned. Getting different with these players allows you to get to safer and higher-owned pieces across the rest of your lineup. Let's dive into it!
DraftKings and FanDuel NFL DFS Tournament (GPP) Plays For Week 4
Bucky Irving - TB RB ($6,000 DraftKings, $7,400 FanDuel)
With Baker Mayfield out, the Buccaneers may need to lean more on Bucky Irving this week vs. the Packers. Irving has gotten a healthy workload so far to start the season, with 15+ rush attempts in each of the Bucs last two contests. Irving is also involved in the passing game and is a safe bet to be targeted multiple times per game. In a game with a less experienced QB, I like the Packers to pressure a bit more, which may lead to more dump-off opportunities for Irving. This looks like a good matchup and a high-ceiling spot for Irving at moderate ownership.
Makai Lemon - PHI WR ($4,100 DraftKings, $5,500 FanDuel)
Another injury beneficiary, Makai Lemon is in for a larger role with DeVonta Smith out in Week 4. The slightly better projected Eagles WR, Dontayvion Wicks, will likely be very chalky. While Lemon will still get some ownership due to him already having a nice role this season, I think that he will be lower owned than Wicks. I like him as a pivot here, and Jalen Hurts should have him very involved here vs. the Rams. Lemon has already been on the field for nearly 70% of the snaps, which is great to see. He has been praised for his route separation, and the team believes his targets will increase as the weeks go on.
C.J. Stroud - HOU QB ($5,700 DraftKings, $7,000 FanDuel) / Nico Collins - HOU WR ($7,200 DraftKings, $7,400 FanDuel)
The Texans get a nice, uptempo negative game script here against the Cowboys. They should be playing from behind and need to keep their foot on the pedal in the passing game. The Texans also get Nico Collins back here, which completely changes their offense. Collins is one of the most targeted WRs in the league, and I like him to be heavily involved here with a lot of big-play opportunities. Ownership is pretty low here, too, compared to the others in this price range, for both Stroud and Collins. I like this stack here in an under-the-radar potential shootout game. It isn't necessary for a Cowboys bring-back, but CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and Javonte Williams are all viable options.
Jacoby Brissett - ARI QB ($5,000 DraftKings, $6,800 FanDuel), Trey McBride - ARI TE ($6,500 DraftKings, $7,400 FanDuel)
The last spot I'm going to mention for GPPs is the Arizona Cardinals. They get a nice matchup vs. the Giants here, which is projected to be a close game between two struggling teams. Trey McBride has solidified himself as the best fantasy TE in the NFL, a complete iron man who has a high floor and a 30+-point ceiling. A lot of the field has been spending down at TE, which leaves the top-end tight ends to usually be pretty low-owned. McBride is playable in both the TE and Flex, as he provides the same ceiling as the WR/RB in his price range. I like this stack here to get different. The connection between Brissett and McBride has proven to be very strong.
Week 4 gives us some sneaky game environments and good DFS plays that are not coming in super high ownership. This looks to be a slate with a lot of different spots to attack, along with good spend-ups and values to fill out our lineups. Good luck, and let's all have a successful DFS Sunday!
